KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has chaired a meeting of the steering committee of the education department.
The provincial education minister said that we want all decisions regarding education in Sindh to be taken in consultation with all stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo, Secretary School Education, Baqar Abbas Naqvi Secretary, Sindh College Education Department, officials of associations of all private schools, senior officers of Education Department, Chairman of Boards and Universities, and members of the committee.
The meeting is discussing the decisions to be taken by the federal government regarding the NCOC meeting over the winter holidays which will be held on Monday. Addressing the meeting, Saeed Ghani said that Sindh had presented its point in the last meeting and other provinces had their own opinion.
No final decision has been taken in this meeting and it has been agreed to take a final decision after on 23rd November after consultation with all the provinces, the education minister said.
Now the federation is suggesting winter holidays from 25th December to 10th January. Saeed Ghani said that at present the cases of coronavirus are increasing and there is no doubt that if we look at the statistics of the last few days, it has moved to 3.7 percent.

The main purpose of convening today’s meeting is to formulate the position of Sindh province in consultation with all stakeholders. “We want all decisions regarding education in Sindh to be made in consultation with all stakeholders,” the education minister asserted.
