RIYADH: The 2020 G20 Riyadh summit is being held in Riyadh from today.
According to a foreign news agency, the two-day G20 virtual summit in Saudi Arabia is starting from 21st November and it is the 15th annual conference.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will preside over the conference. The conference is important because of the coronavirus epidemic, where it will be discussed how the virus has affected the global economy.
The G20-summit will be attended by officials from international organizations and institutions, as well as officials from the World Food and Agriculture Organization, the Financial Stability Council, and the World Health Organization.

The meeting will be attended by officials from the United Nations, the World Bank Group, and the World Trade Organization, as well as officials from the Arab Monetary Fund, the Islamic Development Bank, the African Union, and the GCC.
The G20 finance ministers, meeting this year, set out the first-of-its-kind strategy to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus epidemic on the poorest countries.
The G20 countries represent two-thirds of the world’s population. Their economy is about 85 percent of the world’s economy and they own 75 percent of world trade.
