KARACHI: The district police today (Saturday) have arrested five criminals involved in street crimes and drug trafficking in Karachi’s Steel town.
According to details, the police have also recovered illegal weapons, drugs and a huge quantity of smuggled gutka from the possession of the arrested accused. The arrested accused were identified as Kumar, Mohammad Asim, Mohammad Fahim, Khurram Javed and Shaan.
A police spokesperson has informed that the arrested accused confessed to having committed heinous crimes. The police have registered cases against the arrested accused under several provisions and have started an investigation.
Earlier on October 9, Customs Intelligence conducted an operation across Sindh and recovered a large quantity of smuggled Chalia and Indian Gutka.
According to details, the suspects hid the smuggled goods in two warehouses in Goth Kundu and Umerkot. A Customs official informed that the action was taken on a tip-off.
