Most Pakistanis dissatisfied with country’s economy: Survey

ISLAMABAD: A recent survey has stated that three out of every four Pakistanis are dissatisfied with the country’s economic situation.

The survey named ‘Consumer Confidence Survey in Pakistan’, has revealed citizens’ opinion of where Pakistan is headed.

Four out of five Pakistanis said that the country is headed in the wrong direction, while three out of four Pakistanis were dissatisfied with the way things are going in the country right now.

The survey was based on 1,000 people, all people were above 18 years in age. The survey was carried out last month with male to female respondent’s ratio being 50:50.

Only one in 20 people ranked the economic situation in Pakistan as ‘strong’. Across all the provinces, the high cost of living, rising unemployment, and poverty were the main concerns.

Only Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa included corruption as one of its five major concerns. Power load shedding was cited as a worrying matter only by Sindh.

Two out of five Pakistanis acknowledge their economic situation to be weak, while more than 50 percent of the citizens considered that this situation will become even weaker in the next six months.
