KARACHI: Shaniera Akram, the wife of former captain Wasim Akram, has lamented over the horrible condition of Karachi’s Clifton Beach.
On a social media website Twitter, Shaniera Akram said, “I’m sick of this .We clean the beach again & again, only to have the city’s garbage dumped in our sea & sewerage lines, which eventually washes up on our shore”.
“I’m not even going to the beach anymore. I’ve had enough. This is an embarrassment to our country. We should be ashamed,” she added.

On September 8, renowned cricketer Wasim Akram had lamented over the horrific condition of Karachi’s Clifton beach due to medical waste, shopping bags and whatnot.
Wasim Akram had expressed his displeasure over the state of Karachi’s Seaview beach a day after he came back to the city from England.
Akram, who was at the beach for an early morning walk, posted a video on his Instagram account after he found the beach once again littered with medical waste, shopping bags and whatnot.
