ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Friday) has asserted that the PTI-led federal government was not threatened by any opposition’s movements.
He expressed his views while chairing a meeting of PTI leaders and government’s spokesmen to review counter-strategy against the opposition’s protests and public gatherings.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing political situation, measures taken to bring back Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and other issues.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the armed forces of the country. “The armed forces are standing alongside the democratic government within their constitutional limit,” he claimed.
The premier also asked the participants of the meeting to expose the negative narrative of the opposition leaders.
“Opposition has issues with the armed forces because the latter had caught their corruption,” he said while terming the enemies of the armed forces as the enemies of the country.
He further said, “The government will defend its institutions and will jointly foil the Indian conspiracy with the support of masses,” adding that the opposition would not get an NRO.
“Opposition’s only issue is that they are neither getting a deal nor dheel (leniency). I know the Indian conspirators to create a political disturbance in the country,” he concluded but vowed to counter the Indian narrative with full force.
