ISLAMABAD: The annual elections of the Hajj Organization of Pakistan were held at a private hotel in Islamabad on Saturday.
As per details, two groups participated in the elections. The successful candidate from Friends Group, Chaudhry Tahir Manzoor won with 69 votes, while Chaudhry Ghulam Rabbani from Founder Group won with 70 votes and Irfan Rashid with 68 votes.
Talking to MM News, the successful candidates said, “We are all friends and we have the same goal and the same destination”. The groups were formed only to contest the elections, they added.
They further said, “Today the election is over and we are all one. Our goal is to provide the best facilities for the pilgrims during the Hajj on the land of Saudi Arabia.”
They also said that the association wants pilgrims not to face any difficulties and perform Hajj rituals in a good way.
In previous years, the services of Malaysia and other Muslim countries were on the top, but in 2018, Pakistan has taken the position, they added.
The organizers said that Saudi official’s admitted that the Hajj organization of Pakistan has indeed provided the best arrangements and facilities to its pilgrims which they deserve praise and congratulations.
“We are still trying to improve this system and provide more facilities to the pilgrims and continue to work for the welfare of the pilgrims”, they added.
