Man allegedly rapes pregnant sister-in-law in Sheikhupura

SHEIKHUPURA: Police have yet to register FIR despite several complaints against the accused who allegedly raped a pregnant woman, Madiha, in Sheikhupura.

According to details, the brother-in-law allegedly raped the pregnant woman. As a result, the woman suffered a miscarriage. The woman informed that the accused, Fayyaz, raped her because she had converted to Islam.

The victim claimed that her brother-in-law forced her to reconvert to Christianity, however, she refused. In this regard, the accused forcibly raped and assaulted her.

Upon receiving information, the district police carried out a raid and arrested the accused from his house. Meanwhile, Madiha was rushed to Mother Children’s Hospital, Sheikhupura in an unconscious state, where she was given immediate medical treatment, but she suffered a miscarriage.

A few hours later, the police released the accused after allegedly taking bribe and no case was registered.  The victim has appealed to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Inspector-General of Police to take action against the accused and the corrupt police officials.
