Man kills two daughters over family dispute in Sialkot

SIALKOT: A man was trying to commit suicide by jumping off the 5th floor of his house in Sialkot on Sunday after killing his two daughters and leaving his son injured, police said.
According to the police, the incident took place in Shahabpura area of Sialkot, when a man opened fire inside a house after exchanging verbal argument with his wife during a domestic dispute.
The firing incident led to the injuring of three children including two daughters and a son. However, both the girls succumbed to their injuries while on their way to the hospital.
The nine-year-old Azaan, is also in critical condition, said the police. Police said that deceased girls were identified as 10-year-old Arshi and 12-year-old Rohania. Police registered a case and arrested the accused.
Earlier, a man allegedly shot dead his seven-year-old niece for ‘making too much noise’at home in Peshawar’s Arbab road area.
According to police sources, a seven-year-old Eshaal was playing with other children in the courtyard two days ago when her uncle Fazal Hayat, who lives upstairs in the same house, opened fire on the little girl. As a result, she sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot.
The accused had fled the scene after the tragic incident. The girl’s father has registered a case against his brother at Thakal police station and search for the suspect is underway.
