KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah along with the Secretary Local Government Roshan Shaikh visited various areas of Karachi and inspected the anti bacterial spray campaign on Saturday.
They visited different areas of the city, including Korangi, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony and Liaquatabad and inspected the anti bacterial activities.
Expressing his views about the campaign Nasir Shah said “We are focused to deliver our people without any discrimination and the whole Sindh cabinet is on the mission to serve people.”
Shah said people should not be worried about the rapid spread of the COVID-19 as at the moment the situation was under control, adding that the provincial government was in a state of high alert.
The minister further said the Sindh CM was personally monitoring the situation and he had also issued orders to all members of his cabinet in this regard. He said the only way to remain safe from getting affected by the COVID-19 was to take precautions.
Briefing the Minister about the spray campaign Roshan Ali Shaikh stated, “The district and union administrations are on the ground 24/7 to monitor the anti bacterial activities as all staff is instructed to perform the duties without any negligence”.
He said “We are spraying in the commercial and residential areas as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19.
Roshan Ali Shaikh said during the spray they also providing guideline to the people to wash their hands, keep distance, avoid hug, avoid unnecessary visit to family, friends and markets.
He said that the disinfectant spray was carried out on special directives from the provincial government and it will continue daily without breaks to cover every part of the metropolis.
During the visit Chairman East Moid Anwar, MC East Waseem Ahmed, MD Water Board Asad Ullah and MD Solid Waste Management Board Asif Ikram were presented.
