SKARDU: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) C-130 aircraft carrying 30 Zaireen from Dalbandin landed at Skardu airport on Saturday.
The Zaireen were kept in the makeshift arrangements at Taftan. On their arrival at Skardu airport, they admitted the concerted efforts of the government for providing best possible facilities at such a far off place and also thanked PAF for arranging this special sortie for the people of GB.
Talking to media, Sajjed Ali—one of the pilgrims returned from Iran — said that they were being kept for 14 days at the Taftan centre with all precautionary measures and facilities.
Meanwhile, Skardu health authorities assured the pilgrims that they would be kept for five more days after if they tested negative.
Since the coronavirus outbreak first emerged in Iran, more than 5,710 Pakistani pilgrims crossed the Pak-Iran border. As per the data of Balochistan’s health department, these people, after being kept at the border camps were gradually sent to their hometowns.

PAF’s Air Transport fleet is actively involved in carrying out relief efforts in the wake of coronavirus outbreak and has airlifted tons of relief goods and medical equipment from China.
