Chief Executive of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) – Wasim Khan – has asserted that initially, the cricket board has no other priorities than staging the knock-out matches of Pakistan Super League.
While talking to an international sports website, Wasim Khan said that PCB would plan things related to completing of PSL season 5 once the ongoing coronavirus situation around the globe gets better.
Wasim Khan further said that the cricket board was figuring out the all-out possibilities and the perfect time to reschedule the remaining PSL marches.
He also said, “The management of the cricket board is confident and we will get those done at the back end of the year, subject to obviously all things going well.”
Wasim Khan also turned down the possibilities of handing over the PSL trophy to Multan Sultans, table-toppers, without any competition. He said, “It will reduce the excitement.”
He said, “There’s no fun in just handing the trophy over to Multan Sultans at the moment. Our first point is to go for completion and if it can’t happen then as other leagues around the world have done is to then declare a winner.”
The CEO also termed Pakistan Super League season 5 a great success for Pakistan as the entire tournament was played in the country.
