ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has dispatched food and medicine to about 1,300 Pakistani students in China’s Wuhan region.
The authorities have taken the decision after the students stranded in China informed Pakistani officials that they were having trouble in receiving halal food in Wuhan China.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukhari said that the goods include cooked food sufficient to last 15 days for all the students in Wuhan.
He said the food being sent is for almost 1300 students and includes edibles as well as everyday use items. Taking to socials media website he tweeted a photo of the supplies that have been sent to Wuhan.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development released the funds for the provision of food and medicines, which is being delivered by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
National Disaster Management Authority has sent a special plane carrying 17 tonnes of supplies. Wuhan is the Chinese province that emerged as the epicenter of the coronavirus.
