E-sports was barely even a thing way back in the early 2000 but games like ‘Dota’ and ‘League of Legends’ made a whole lot of difference to the e-sports league.
Companies like Riot and Valve developed these games and started e-sport championships. The prize money increased and from a few hundred dollars to nearly 25 million dollars at this point. This has created some top players who have also become quite rich.
Pakistani gamer Syed Hassan has been playing ‘Dota’ since the age of 8 and has really made a name for him. He was born in Karachi but moved to Chicago in the US. He was signed up by the biggest e-sports team Evil Geniuses. He was considered an expert by 2015 and has just been getting better at his game.
Sumail won ‘The International’ championship in 2015 at the age of sixteen and then came in third in the 2016 and 2018 competitions. He is the highest-earning player of Pakistani origin and the third highest Asian. He was also the youngest player to cross the $1 million mark.

In the latest development, Sumail Hassan will be added to e-sport company OG’s Dota 2 roster. The news was revealed during a video presentation at The International 2019 “True Sight” documentary premiere in Berlin, Germany.
The video celebrated players on the team, with commentary provided on how each one brings adds to the unit. Sumail was the last player shown and was wearing an OG jersey as opposed to that of the Evil Geniuses.
“Once a rival who lived evil he’s now a precious ally who wants his crown back. It is our honor to welcome our new carry player. Please welcome OG,” OG wrote on Twitter.
Sumail revealed his reasoning for his new team. “So I had been out of the scene for a while and it made me realize how much I loved Dota,” he said.
“To do it with OG, people who are more accomplished than me now in Dota aspects. I am just looking forward to learning, from Ceb and N0tail especially. I am just very excited. The most I have been in my entire life.”
