KARACHI: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday presented cash reward and certificates to a police team in recognition of their acts of bravery to rescue people during a fire broke out in slums located in Karachi’s Teen Hatti.
in acknowledgment of the police commitment towards professional obligation and braving in a serious situation the Liaquatabad police team was awarded Rs 60,000 and certificates by the police chief.
Earlier, two people sustained injuries and 120 huts were gutted when a fire broke out in slums located in the Teen Hatti area of the metropolis on Tuesday night.
According to fire brigade officials, a massive fire broke out in the slums located beneath Teen Hatti Bridge. As a result, two people sustained injuries and more than 120 huts were gutted.
