Well-known actor and host Faizan Sheikh stated that artists are so sensitive that they ask for their rightful payment with fear, and most actors hesitate to ask for their money because they’re afraid they won’t be offered work again.
Faizan Sheikh recently appeared on a podcast where he spoke openly on various issues. During the program, he also complained that during shoots, famous and popular actors are given special treatment, while those who are only there for one or a few scenes are not given any respect.
He said that actors called in for a single scene aren’t even offered drinking water, but if the same actor becomes famous ten years later, they’re given protocol, which is wrong.
When asked about payments, the actor said that many actors have complained about not receiving their dues, and several have said they’re owed hundreds of thousands of rupees. Yet, they refrain from naming the production houses or TV channels, choosing instead to protect their reputation.
Faizan Sheikh said that artists are so sensitive that even when asking for their rightful payment or dues, they do so with hesitation, gently and respectfully. He added that in other professions, if someone’s payment is withheld, it leads to fights or even lawsuits. But actors continue to ask for their money with love and respect.
