The Meteorological Department has forecast more rainfall in most cities of the country today as well, while concerns over loss of life and property due to rain and flooding have increased.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rain spell will continue today in most cities of the country, including Islamabad. Rain is expected to continue in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Chakwal, Attock, and Sargodha. More monsoon rains are expected in Khushab, Mianwali, Jhelum, Gujranwala, and Gujrat. Further showers are expected in Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, and Kasur.
The rain spell is also likely to continue in Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Multan. Rain is also expected to continue in Khanewal, Faisalabad, Layyah, Bhakkar, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Rain is expected at a few places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, and Mansehra.
In addition, rain is expected in Peshawar, Abbottabad, Buner, Shangla, Swat and Malakand, Nowshera, Swabi, Bajaur, Mardan, Kurram, and Hangu. Rain is also expected at a few places in Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan.
On the other hand, Karachi, Thatta, and Hyderabad are likely to receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. Most districts of Balochistan are expected to experience hot and humid weather, with rain likely at a few places in Barkhan, Kohlu, Musakhel, Loralai, Zhob, and Kalat. Rain is also likely at a few places in Khuzdar, Awaran, and Lasbela.
