A student was tortured to death by a teacher at a madrasa in the Khwaza Khela area of Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A horrific video of the incident went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage among the public.
The incident took place in the Chaliyar area of Khwaza Khela tehsil. The deceased student has been identified as Farhan, who was 14 years old.
Farhan died as a result of the violence, and his body has been shifted to Khwaza Khela Hospital for postmortem. Police have arrested two teachers of the madrasa, and further investigation is underway.
It is said that the student belonged to a poor family outside of the Swat area and was living in the madrasa.
While sharing the video and the news on social media, notables of the area have demanded that the authority concerned take stern action against the killer.
It should be noted that this is not the first case of its kind in a madrasa in Pakistan; in the past, such kind several cases were also reported.
