The postmortem report has revealed that Bano Bibi was shot nine times, while Ehsanullah sustained seven gunshot wounds following the brutal execution of the Baloch couple, killed in the name of honor in Balochistan.
The brutal incident occurred in the suburban area of Degari near Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, where the couple was allegedly murdered over honor-related motives.
Following a court order, the bodies were exhumed for examination. Police surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz conducted the autopsies and issued the postmortem report.
The report confirmed that Bano Bibi was shot seven times, and Ehsanullah Smalani received nine gunshot wounds. Both were killed on June 4, 2025.
It is worth noting that, since the incident came to light, police have registered a case and launched a series of raids. So far, 13 individuals suspected of involvement in the double murder have been arrested, with the number expected to rise.
Meanwhile, the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court has taken notice of the incident of shooting.
The Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court has summoned the Additional Chief Secretary Home and IG Police on July 22.
A case has been registered in Balochistan for the brutal murder of a woman and a man in the name of alleged honor, while the police have arrested 20 people including the main accused.
Following the local Jirga, the shooters include Shah Wazir, Jalal, Tikri Munir, Bakhtiar, Malik Amir, Ajab Khan, Sardar Sher Baz Khan ruled that the woman and the man should be murdered for the moral crime.
Jan Muhammad, Bashir Ahmed and 15 other unidentified persons are also involved in the case. After the verdict, the man and the woman were taken in vehicles and taken to Sanjeedi Degari Margat, where they were shot and killed.
The police arrested more than 20 people during the operation. According to police sources, the arrested accused include the main accused Bashir Ahmed and the head of the Satakzai tribe, Sardar Sherbaz Satakzai, his 4 brothers and 2 bodyguards, who will be presented before the judicial magistrate today.
