YouTuber and social media influencer Rajab Butt from Lahore is once again facing serious danger, legal proceedings, and criticism from religious circles, as a second firing incident occurred at his home, sparking concerns among his fans on social media.

According to Rajab Butt’s family, on the night of July 17, two armed individuals on a motorcycle opened fire at his residence. Fortunately, there were no casualties as Rajab Butt was not at home at the time.
There are visible bullet marks on the walls, and the family is in a state of extreme fear. Police have collected evidence from the scene and expanded the scope of their investigation. CCTV footage has also been seized, and the search for the suspects is ongoing.
According to the police, bullets hit the outer gate and wall of the house. As soon as they were informed of the incident, officers arrived at the scene and collected evidence. A police spokesperson stated that investigations are underway and the perpetrators will soon be brought to justice.
First Attack
The first incident occurred on the night of June 24, when unknown individuals in a white Cultus car indiscriminately opened fire at his house. In that attack, his pet dog was killed, and the family suffered emotional trauma. Rajab Butt was not home at the time and was informed by his family over the phone.
Rajab Butt filed a report at Chung Police Station, and a case was registered under sections 440 and 429. Bullet casings, CCTV footage, and statements from family members were recorded. The police described the incident as serious and said the investigation is in full swing.
Perfume Controversy
Rajab Butt faced severe backlash when he named a new line of his perfumes “295,” a reference to blasphemy law section 295C.
Religious circles protested strongly against the name. Later, Rajab Butt went to Mecca to seek forgiveness and released a video announcing his repentance. Following this, he remained inactive on social media for some time.
During the early days of Muharram, an old video of Rajab Butt resurfaced in which he used some controversial words. The video drew intense criticism on social media. A religious group launched strong protests and a social media campaign against him, and an official complaint was filed with the Cyber Crime Wing.

Rajab Butt described all these incidents as part of an organized campaign, claiming he is being punished for his honesty and outspokenness. He says his life is in danger and has called on the government for protection. In his videos, he claims to speak out against religious extremism.
