Former actress and host Mishi Khan has strongly criticized the recent interview given by the parents of the late actress and model Humaira Asghar, calling their response “disappointing” and “irresponsible.”
In a video shared on social media, Mishi Khan expressed concern over the attitude of Humaira’s parents at a time when the entire nation is waiting to learn the facts surrounding her tragic death. She stated that their demeanor appeared unserious despite the gravity of the situation.
Mishi claimed that even the police are facing obstacles in the investigation, as the family is reportedly not cooperating.
She emphasized the urgent need to uncover the true cause of Humaira’s death and questioned the lack of seriousness from her parents.
Mishi Khan raised pointed questions, asking:
If they had no objection to Humaira working in showbiz, why didn’t they check on her well-being for ten months?
If they didn’t know her address, why didn’t they seek help from the police?
She further stated that if fear of disgrace was the reason behind their silence, then that fear was futile, as now the media is widely reporting on their daughter’s tragic end.
Mishi expressed grief and disappointment, saying Humaira’s parents should have acted more responsibly and seriously at the right time.
It is worth noting that Humaira Asghar, a Lahore-based actress and model, was found dead in an apartment in Karachi’s Defence area on July 8.
According to the post-mortem report, she had passed away in October 2024, and her body was in the final stages of decomposition. However, the exact cause of death is still unknown.
