In a deeply distressing case, Police have arrested a man in Fort Abbas on Sunday for attempting to let his friends rape his wife in her own house.
The victim, a resident of Thokar Jamil Shah, said in the FIR that her husband is a drug addict who frequently invites his friends over to use drugs at their home.
According to the FIR, on June 27, he brought three other addicts to the house and allowed them to sexually harass her. When they attempted to rape her, she raised an alarm. Neighbors, upon hearing her cries for help, intervened and came to her rescue.
Police subsequently arrested the husband and one of his friends.
Unfortunately these cases have become common in the country as a similar case occurred in February, when a man in Vehari allegedly allowed another individual to rape his wife after losing a bet in a game of gambling.
The alleged rapist, it was learnt, also shot the video of the act with a threat of uploading it on social media if she disclosed it to anybody.
On the complaint of the woman’s father, Sahooka police registered a case against the three, including her husband.
