The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy and humid weather for Karachi during the next 24 hours, while light drizzle is also likely in some areas.
Temperatures today range between 32°C and 34°C, with a minimum of 29°C recorded earlier. Humidity stands at 79%, and sea breezes are moving steadily at 11 km/h.
Meanwhile, a Meteorological Department spokesperson has indicated that a new monsoon system may hit Sindh on July 5 or 6, potentially bringing further rainfall to the region.
While many in Karachi have embraced the relief these rains bring after intense heat, the recent monsoon spell has unfortunately led to multiple fatalities and injuries across the city.
Meanwhile, thundershowers are expected in Kashmir, northeast Punjab, Potohar, Islamabad and a few areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 12 hours.
Isolated showers are likely in some areas in the morning, while hot and humid weather is expected in other parts of the country.
