Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif conducted a surprise visit to various areas of Lahore on Thursday during heavy rainfall and reviewed the drainage situation.
According to details, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz conducted a detailed inspection of rainwater drainage and other conditions at Gaddafi Stadium, Zahoor Elahi Road, Jail Road, Gulberg, and other locations.
Expressing satisfaction with the drainage system established around Gaddafi Stadium, she stated that the system, completed in eight months, is durable and commendable. She said that, by the grace of Allah, the rainwater is being drained in a timely manner, which is the result of the hard work of the relevant institutions.

Maryam Nawaz also inspected various blocks in Gulberg, where she reviewed the ongoing Sustainable Development Project under the LDA (Lahore Development Authority). During the visit, she observed the beautifully installed tough tiles on the roads, sewer systems, and other beautification measures.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the removal of encroachments from residential and commercial areas in Gulberg, the reorganization of green belts, and uniform development.
She also reviewed the ongoing beautification projects on Fashion Avenue, Zahoor Elahi Road, College Road, Sir Syed Road, and other commercial corridors and directed the authorities to maintain quality.
