Gold prices in Pakistan continued to decline on Wednesday, reflecting the downward trend in the global market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola in the local market dropped significantly by Rs. 2,245 on Wednesday, bringing the new price to Rs. 359,055 per tola. These rates will remain effective until new pricing is determined later this afternoon.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs. 1,925, bringing the rate down to Rs. 307,831.
This decline is part of the ongoing trend from Tuesday, when the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 1,000 to reach Rs. 361,300.
Gold prices also fell in the international market on Tuesday. According to the data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, gold was traded at $3,378 per ounce in the global market, which includes a $20 premium.
This price reflects a $20 decrease as well. In contrast, silver prices saw a slight increase. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs. 22, reaching Rs. 3,878.
