In a horrific incident, a woman from Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, killed her daughter in order to facilitate her second marriage.
According to police, the incident took place in the Muradwal area of Mandi Bahauddin, where the woman murdered her 8-year-old daughter and then staged a fake abduction.
Police said that the mother has confessed to the crime and is currently under further investigation.
According to authorities, the child had gone missing two days earlier, and her body was recovered from a field yesterday. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the incident. ۔
Last week, police arrested a 10-year-old boy, identified as Azan Sultan, a close relative living in the same household, in connection with the murder of a one-year-old girl, Maryam, whose body was recovered from a sewerage line in Rawalpindi’s Ratta Amral area.
The minor also confessed during interrogation that he had dipped the child’s head in sewer water, and she died. He is said to have uttered, “I didn’t like her.” The accused has now been sent to the custody of the child protection bureau by a local court.
