Two pilots were killed, while three sustained injuries and are currently under treatment, from the five fighter jets shot down by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) during last month’s brief skirmish.
Anchorperson Shahzad Iqbal, during a podcast, revealed the fate of the Indian jet pilots, saying “Two of the pilots from the destroyed Indian jets were killed, while three others were injured and are currently under treatment.”
He added, “When I asked the Air Force personnel how they received such information, they told me it comes through on-ground intelligence. After verification from multiple intelligence agencies, they are able to confirm these details.”
Iqbal also shared that he questioned the Air Force officials about Pakistan’s defense budget, which stands at $9 billion compared to India’s $86 billion. He asked whether this meant India would have superior security capabilities. Their response was that Pakistan’s system is more advanced than India’s, as demonstrated in the recent conflict.
According to Iqbal, during the aerial engagement, Pakistan had 40 fighter jets in the air compared to India’s 80. Remarkably, none of Pakistan’s jets were downed, and the Indian Air Force was unable to lock onto or fire a missile at any Pakistani aircraft. In contrast, Pakistan succeeded in shooting down several Indian jets, including Rafales.
