Assistant Commissioner of the Tump area in Balochistan’s Kech district, Muhammad Hanif Noorzai, has been abducted, confirmed the Deputy Commissioner of Kech.
According to local media, Levies sources reported that unknown armed individuals abducted Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hanif Noorzai from the Saringkan area in Kech.
Law enforcement agencies have launched a search operation, cordoning off various areas of Turbat and Saringkan to locate the abductors.
The Deputy Commissioner of Kech confirmed the abduction, stating that Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hanif was traveling to Quetta with his family for Eid holidays in an official vehicle. Near Turbat, six armed men intercepted the vehicle, released his family and security personnel, and took the Assistant Commissioner with them.
It is noteworthy that on May 30, terrorists from the group “Fitna-tul-Hindustan” attacked the residences of government officials in the Surab district of Balochistan.
During the attack, Additional Deputy Commissioner Hidayat Baloch was martyred while defending his family and engaging the terrorists. The attackers set fire to official residences and looted a bank.
It is widely believed that Indian proxies are involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan. India is accused of providing training, weapons, and financial support to these militants to further its nefarious agenda.
