Australia has confirmed a tour of Pakistan early next year for a white-ball series.
In an online press conference, Cricket Australia’s new CEO, Todd Greenberg, shared his views, saying, “I believe it will once again be a good tour of Pakistan. The series against Pakistan is an important part of our schedule. There has been positive communication between Pakistan and Australia regarding both red-ball and white-ball series.”
“We are looking to explore more opportunities for series, and we certainly will. We would like to play series in Pakistan. Our 2022 tour to Pakistan was after a long time, and it was a fantastic experience. The Australian team received a warm welcome. It would be great if such series continue in the future,” he added.
Todd Greenberg further said, “We will welcome as many Pakistani players as possible in the Big Bash League. There is no doubt that Pakistani players are very popular in the community. We aim to attract players from around the world to the BBL.”
He also said, “If Pakistan’s leading players participate, they will certainly enjoy it here. Their presence will be great for the league, their teams, and franchises. Discussions regarding Pakistani players are ongoing, and I hope we will be able to attract a few for the next edition of the BBL.”
