Shah Rukh Khan is widely regarded as one of the greatest movie stars in the history of Indian cinema. However, his career hit a rough patch with the box office failures of Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017) and Zero (2018), leading him to take a break from acting.
According to Indian media, this hiatus was extended further due to the pandemic. Nearly five years later, Khan made a triumphant return to the silver screen with two massive hits, Pathaan and Jawan, which together grossed over Rs 2000 crore worldwide.

A 2023 video from Pandit’s 60th birthday celebration surfaced online, where Shah Rukh Khan referred to him as his “spiritual guru.” In the clip, Khan joked, “He understands Vaastu, so when one of my films doesn’t do well, I call him to make some changes in the house. I tell him, ‘Sir, my last film didn’t work, please do something,’ and he suggests shifting a mirror. Luckily, my films have been doing well.”
Responding to Khan’s remarks, Pandit told SCREEN, “When we became close, I began advising him on a specific form of Vaastu Shastra based on energy, which I follow. We adjusted the energy in his home accordingly, and it seemed to have a positive impact. He’s such a humble and wonderful person, and I’m grateful he acknowledged that publicly.” When asked which films he helped with, Pandit confirmed, “It was both Pathaan and Jawan.”
In 2023, Khan also appeared in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Though the film received mixed reviews, it went on to earn over Rs 470 crore globally, making it a commercial success. Shah Rukh Khan is currently filming King, an action movie that also stars his daughter, Suhana Khan. The ensemble cast features Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, among others.
