Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has declined to join the opposition’s grand alliance.
Speaking to Geo News, PTI’s Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had certain reservations regarding local politics.
These concerns were conveyed to the PTI founder, who had assured Maulana Fazl that the issues would be addressed.
According to Sheikh Waqas Akram, Maulana Fazlur Rehman initially requested time to consult with his party, but later declined the offer.
He added, “When electoral alliances are formed, there’s always some give and take involved.”
Commenting on the Minerals Bill, Sheikh Waqas said that the PTI founder had already issued a statement. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is expected to brief the PTI founder on the bill, and it will only be passed if it receives his approval.
He emphasized that there is no division within the party regarding the bill.
