Pakistani middleweight boxer Shahir Afridi has secured a technical knockout (TKO) victory over Indian fighter Trijot Singh Bawa in the fourth round of an international ranking bout in Thailand.
The win marks a substantial milestone in Afridi’s career, elevating his professional record to an impressive 16 wins from 18 fights, with only one loss and one draw. His latest triumph further solidifies his standing in the competitive middleweight division.
From the opening bell, Afridi dominated the ring, unleashing a relentless flurry of punches that forced his opponent onto the defensive. By the third round, Bawa appeared visibly shaken and struggled to remain upright under the weight of Afridi’s aggressive combinations.
As the fourth round commenced, the referee intervened, stopping the contest after determining that Bawa was no longer able to defend himself effectively—thus awarding the bout to Afridi via TKO.
In the women’s segment of the event, Pakistan’s Aalia Soomro also made a strong impression, earning a knockout victory over her Thai opponent in the opening round.
