In a 2007 interview, when Kareena Kapoor spoke about her breakup with Shahid Kapoor, she said, “I think Shahid needs to focus on his career right now. His career is very important to him, he loves his work, and sometimes not everything can be done at the same time.”
Kareena’s conversation about Shahid’s sadness after the breakup: During the interview, the host asked about Shahid looking sad and lonely after the breakup, to which Kareena denied and said, “He doesn’t seem that way. There are women stars around him, and he looks like a ‘ladies’ man’, so I can’t say anything about him being sad and lonely.”
During the interview, Kareena also spoke about the speculation that came up after the breakup, which suggested that Kareena left Shahid because his career wasn’t progressing quickly.
Kareena said, “That’s not true. I am a successful woman; I don’t need a successful man. On the contrary, I want someone who loves me and understands me. Moreover, Shahid has the full potential to succeed. I loved Shahid for 4.5 years, and I still pray for him.”
