Murree police have informed the public that they should not engage in any kind of transaction with Afghan nationals and should not rent houses, shops, hotels, etc., to them.
According to a report, the police have imposed a ban on renting properties to illegally residing Afghan nationals in Murree. Police officials have stated that the process of evacuating illegally residing Afghan nationals from Murree will soon begin.
A spokesperson said that citizens should not conduct any business or transactions with Afghan refugees and should immediately report any illegally residing Afghan refugees in Murree to the police.
It is noteworthy that due to the poor security situation in the country and the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities, strict actions are being taken against Afghan citizens.
In various cities of the country, illegally settled Afghan nationals are being sent back. Yesterday, 50 more Afghan nationals were transferred to a shelter in Faisalabad, and 142 Afghan nationals were sent to Torkham.
The process of sending Afghan nationals illegally residing in Pakistan back to their country has been accelerated. The deadline for the voluntary return of Afghan nationals ended on March 31, and from April 1, efforts were supposed to begin to find and send them back to Afghanistan.
However, due to the Eid holidays, there was a delay, and now authorities have stated that more Afghan refugees will be deported. It is worth noting that since 2013, more than 450,000 Afghan nationals have been sent back to their homeland through Torkham.
