Pakistan batter Usman Khan has been ruled out of the second ODI against New Zealand due to a hamstring injury.
Khan sustained the injury while fielding during the series opener on Saturday. The injury was confirmed following an MRI scan. This setback comes as Pakistan looks to level the series after losing the first match.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the second ODI on April 2, hoping to bounce back from their defeat.
In the opening match, New Zealand’s Mark Chapman played a stunning knock, scoring a career-best 132, anchoring his team to a formidable total of 344-9 at McLean Park.
Nathan Smith also played a key role, claiming four wickets to help dismiss Pakistan for 271 in the 45th over, securing a 73-run victory for the Black Caps.
