The management of the Green Line and Orange Line bus services has been officially transferred to the Sindh government, which has now taken over operational control.
CEO of PIDCL, Waseem Bajwa, handed over control to Sindh Transport Secretary Asad Zaman in a formal ceremony.
The event was attended by Sindh Mass Transit Authority MD Kamal Dayo, along with officials from the Orange Line and Green Line BRT projects.
On this occasion, Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon described the move as a significant step toward organising the public transport network more effectively.
He reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to improving and sustaining the bus services to provide citizens with the best possible travel facilities.
Memon further stated that efforts would be made to enhance the performance of these services using modern technology and regular maintenance.
He emphasised that Karachi is developing an integrated and efficient urban transit system, with ongoing plans to link both BRT lines with other public transport networks.
