PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, has accused the judiciary of being restructured with judges specifically chosen to ensure her brother remains behind bars.
Addressing the media outside Adiala Jail on Monday, Aleema Khan articulated the concerns of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asserting that recent events clearly indicate a strategy aimed at “keeping him in jail and dismantling PTI.”
Aleema Khan contended that the implementation of the 26th constitutional amendment was designed to facilitate the appointment of judges who would issue convictions.
“While there are judges capable of delivering justice, the focus is on selecting those who will ensure Khan’s continued imprisonment.”
She further asserted that recent appointments to the Supreme Court are aimed directly at targeting Khan. “The introduction of the Peca law was also a measure to regulate social media and suppress dissent.
The rule of law has been so severely undermined that we can no longer anticipate justice from the courts,” she remarked.
Aleema Khan condemned what she characterized as a “three-year-long conspiracy” to marginalize PTI and imprison its leader. She claimed that following the ousting of Khan’s government, there was a wave of arrests and repression, including raids on over 100,000 residences and manipulation of votes on February 8.
