US Woman Onijah Andrew has been in the news for the last few days after being ‘ditched’ by a teenage lover who promised to marry her upon arrival in Karachi from the United States.
The woman after refusing to depart for US, reached her teenage lover’s residence.
In a conversation with the media, the woman demanded $5000 per week to talk to them. “No money no talk, it’s expensive to talk.”
Robinson arrived in Pakistan on October 11, 2024, drawn by Memon’s declarations of love.
Upon meeting Robinson, Memon’s parents expressed their disapproval of the relationship, citing the considerable age gap, her status as a divorcee, and the fact that she has two children.
Following their objections, Memon vanished, leaving Robinson in a state of distress at Karachi airport.
Robinson spent seven days at the airport, her visa having lapsed. Local law enforcement reached out to the US Consulate in Karachi for help with her repatriation, but did not receive a reply. The Ministry of Interior later arranged a flight for her return on Qatar Airways, scheduled to depart at 10:00 AM. Nevertheless, Robinson declined to board the flight, which took off at 10:30 AM.
An NGO stepped in to provide Robinson with a ticket and financial support for her return. She was briefly treated at the airport’s emergency clinic for a cold and flu. Authorities had intended to issue her a 15-day visa to facilitate her departure, but this plan was disrupted by her refusal to leave.
