In a significant boost to Pakistan’s aviation sector, the new Saudi airline Flyadeal is set to begin its operations in Pakistan on February 2.
Flyadeal will launch flights from Riyadh to Karachi, with additional services connecting Karachi, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The airline’s inaugural flight to Karachi will be celebrated with a water salute ceremony by airport authorities.
According to a report by ARY News on Monday, The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted Flyadeal approval for air operations in Pakistan, marking a new phase in the airline’s international expansion.
Sources from the airline indicate that this new service will offer direct travel options, making it more convenient for passengers traveling between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
This development follows Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, Saudia, once again topping international punctuality rankings. In Cirium’s July 2024 report, Saudia recorded an on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and an on-time departure rate of 88.15%. This remarkable performance further cements Saudia’s leadership in the aviation industry.
Saudia, which operates 16,503 flights across over 100 destinations, is also expanding its fleet. The airline plans to introduce 103 new aircraft, enhancing its seating capacity and reaching new global destinations as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
As a member of the SkyTeam alliance since 2012, Saudia continues to play a vital role in global aviation. The airline also provides charter services during the Ramadan and Hajj seasons, offering connectivity across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.
