The Women’s National Selection Committee has announced a 15-player Pakistan squad for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, scheduled in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, 2025.
Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan, but women’s cricket did not receive much attention in the past. Nowadays, the focus has shifted, and wicketkeeper-batter Komal Khan will captain the U-19 team, with Zoofishan Ayyaz serving as vice-captain.

The team, which recently competed in the ACC U19 Women’s Asia Cup in Malaysia, will undergo a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi from December 31 to January 9. They will depart for Malaysia on January 10 via Dubai.
The 16-team competition features four groups, each comprising four teams. Pakistan is in Group B alongside England, Ireland, and USA.
Match schedule:
January 18: Pakistan vs USA
January 20: Pakistan vs England
January 22: Pakistan vs Ireland
(All matches will be held at the JCA Oval, Johor, Malaysia.)
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, where they’ll be divided into two groups:
Group 1: Top three teams from Groups A and D
Group 2: Top three teams from Groups B and C
Teams will carry forward points, wins, and Net Run Rate (NRR) against fellow qualifiers. Each team will play two Super Six matches.
The top two teams from each Super Six group will proceed to the semi-finals on January 31. The tournament final is scheduled for February 2 at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur.
