In a unique protest in KP’s Karak, housewives boycotted the polio campaign against the gas outage.
The women refused to vaccinate the children until the gas arrived and drove the polio team out of the area.
According to media reports, the incident took place in the Karak district of the KPK province, where women say the anti-polio campaign will continue until the gas is supplied.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Shakeel Ahmed said that the women in Karak have been assured to solve the gas problem within 2 days.
He said that the polio campaign is going on across the district and in this regard, Sui-Nadran has spoken to the authorities and they have also assured to provide gas.
It should be noted that the anti-polio campaign is underway in the country and children are being given polio drops at home.
Polio cases have increased in the country this year and so far 63 cases have been confirmed, including 26 in Balochistan, 18 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 17 in Sindh, and one each in Punjab and Islamabad.
