Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday, with the price of gold per tola reaching Rs275,900, marking an increase of Rs1,000 in just one day.
The price of 10 grams of gold also saw a rise, reaching Rs236,540 after an increase of Rs858, according to the rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This came after a decline of Rs2,100 per tola on Tuesday.
On the international market, gold prices also increased on Wednesday. According to APGJSA, the price was $2,647 per ounce (with a $20 premium), up by $10 during the day.
Silver rates remained stable at Rs3,400 per tola.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee saw little change against the US dollar, appreciating by 0.01% in the inter-bank market on Wednesday.
At the close of trading, the rupee settled at 278.23, gaining Re0.04 against the greenback. On Tuesday, the rupee had closed at 278.27, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
