Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Javed Badr has issued an unconditional apology to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif, admitting to spreading fake propaganda and leveling baseless allegations against him.
In a letter addressed to Nawaz Sharif, Badr expressed regret, saying, “I spread fake propaganda and leveled baseless allegations against you. I am sure that, considering the past era of illiteracy and destruction, you will forgive my mistakes.”
Badr further clarified that his decision to write the apology letter was made “without any greed or pressure” and was motivated by his fear of the Day of Judgment, acknowledging that it was from the bottom of his heart.
Reflecting on the political environment fostered during his time with PTI, Badr took responsibility for teaching the politics of hatred, particularly to the younger generation. He apologized to both the youth and their parents, acknowledging the long-term impact of the poisonous political rhetoric.
The former PTI leader also stated that he regretted contributing to the division and hatred in the nation. He added that his decision to part ways with PTI came after the party appointed Usman Buzdar as Punjab Chief Minister and gave undue influence to Bushra Bibi.
Badr criticized PTI for misusing national resources and spreading false narratives against state institutions, including the Pakistan Army, on the international stage. He also praised Nawaz Sharif for his role in bringing stability to Pakistan and expressed a desire to meet him personally to admit his mistakes.
