The Pakistan Fashion Couture exhibition, scheduled for November 16 in Riyadh, will introduce Pakistani fashion to the Saudi market, with a host of designers and their collections, said a media release on Wednesday.
Pakistani fashion ranges from intricate embroidery and elaborate patterns of traditional wear to bold, contemporary designs, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan. Diversity is thus captured in terms of the creativity of the country, offering a unique aesthetic for global audiences.
Saudi Arabian and other country fashion designers will join the exhibition in order to promote “cultural harmony” and strengthen the international presence of Pakistani fashion.
“For the first time, Riyadh is hosting a fashion exhibition on November 16,” Adnan Bashir Khan, a high-ranking official at Pakistan Fashion Couture, said, “Pakistani apparel, jewelry, and other things will be on display at the even with participation from famous Pakistani designers”.
Speaking at a press conference in Riyadh, Khan said Pakistani fashion is loved by diverse communities, including Saudi Arabia, India, and Bangladesh. The aim, he said, is to “further strengthen Pakistani fashion’s footprint” in the Saudi market.
The founder of Pakistan Fashion Couture envisions the exhibition, which will showcase “traditional attire, modern fashion, and exclusive bridal designs,” as a landmark event for Pakistan’s fashion industry in Saudi Arabia.
