6 million students to receive stipends of up to Rs.4000 under BES

The government has decided to enhance the amount of Benazir Educational Scholarships from January 2025, media reported on Monday.

According to details, around six million students will benefit through this scheme while this amount will be paid to mothers whose children studying in schools from nursery to 12^th class.

The government advised parents that they should get themselves registered in Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) on a priority basis.

After the increase, Rs2,500 will be paid to a boy student while Rs2,000 will be paid to the parents of a girl student.

Girl students of secondary level will get Rs3,500 while boy students will get Rs3,000 stipend accordingly.

Boy students of the higher school will obtain Rs3500 as a stipend while girl students will get Rs4000 respectively.

An additional amount of Rs3000 will be paid to parents of those students whose children will complete primary level education.
