Famous Pakistani actress Iffat Omar has shared her two-cents on playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s recently leaked private video, saying it’s his body and his choice.
Earlier, an explicit video of the playwright surfaced on social media, amidst controversy surrounding his alleged abduction by a gang after meeting a woman at her residence late at night. The video showed Qamar in a compromising situation with a woman.
In a podcast on Wednesday, the Pyaray Afzal writer claimed that the explicit videos were made under duress at gunpoint. He asserted that he was forced into making the videos, recounting that he protested to his captors that he couldn’t comply with their demands at gunpoint, but they continued to coerce him.
Ironically, staunch feminist Iffat Omar came to Qamar’s defense, despite him being one of the strongest critics of the feminist movement.
In a post on X, Iffat said that she will never comment on what two consenting adults do with their bodies. “Uska Jism Uski Marzi” (His body, his choice).
