The security forces have foiled a terrorist attack on Bannu Cantt this morning.
As per details, the terrorists tried to breach Bannu Cantt’s outer wall by setting off a vehicle carrying explosives on the route between the supply depot and the Cantt.
By acting quickly, the security personnel were able to thwart the terrorists’ effort. The clearance operation has been initiated by the security forces. Now, a clearance operation is in progress.
According to earlier reports, there had been a loud explosion close to Bannu Cantt, followed by shooting.
In a joint intelligence-based operation earlier this month in the Hassan Khel area of the Peshawar district, four soldiers bravely battled against the terrorists, leading to the death of one terrorist commander out of three.
Terrorist commander Abdul Raheem was wanted by law enforcement and had a fixed head money of Rs. 6 million on him eue to his continued involvement in multiple terrorist activities and his role in the Shahadat of Captain Hussain Jehangir Shaheed and Havildar Shafiq Ullah Shaheed on May 26, 2024.
