Content creator and actor Dananeer Mobeen is in awe of a Pakistani youth who recently captured the attention of netizens by configuring his family car to mimic a self-driven vehicle. The social media influencer from Islamabad shared a video appreciating the young tech whiz.
In May, 20-year-old Ehsaan Abbasi, a student from Abbottabad, demonstrated his innovative skills by successfully driving a manual car using a computer keyboard. With the driver’s seat empty and the headrest removed, onlookers were captivated by the sight of an automobile that seemed to be driving itself.
During an interview with Independent Urdu, Ehsaan showcased his ingenuity by adapting a keyboard to control various car functions. He connected the car’s wires to the keyboard and managed to start the engine and steer the vehicle using only the keyboard keys.
A game enthusiast inspired by titles like GTA and Need for Speed, Ehsaan spent six months developing this system. His curiosity about making keyboard driving possible in real life led to this remarkable achievement. Despite having no formal background in programming or engineering and only completing his FSc, Ehsaan managed to accomplish this feat. He is currently working on a further innovation that will allow for controlling the car remotely.
