The body of a young tourist from Lahore, identified as 23-year-old Fatima Ilyas, was recovered from the Neelum River in Azad Kashmir on Wednesday.
The tragic incident occurred when Fatima lost her balance and fell into the river while attempting to take a selfie during a family visit to Neelum Valley. The mishap took place at Dostt area on Tuesday.
Rescue 1122 personnel conducted an extensive search operation and managed to retrieve Fatima’s body the following day. Her remains were promptly transported to a local hospital for further procedures.
