On Monday gold prices increase both in the local and international markets. Today in the Pakistani market yellow metal is being sold at the prices mentioned below:
- Price per tola of 24 karat gold: Rs.242,000
- Price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold: Rs.207,476
- Price of 10 grams 22 karat gold: Rs.190,186
- Price of per tola silver: Rs.2,850
- Price of 10 grams of silver: 2,443
All these rates are issued by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association every day between 12 pm to 3 pm.
The price of gold in the international market increased by $8 to $2,328 from $2,320.
It is worth noting that there is a minor difference in the prices of gold in different cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, and Multan.
It should be noted that buying gold jewelry for weddings is a common practice in Pakistan as in some areas a groom has to gift gold jewelry to his bride which is why the increase in gold prices also affects the common man.
